Combining Ahmad's background in high-stakes medical AI research at Moorfields with Hashir's engineering work at QMUL, we saw a gap. We weren't interested in building another "chatbot." We wanted to solve the human bottleneck - the moment where a great business loses a great customer simply because they were too busy being successful to answer the phone.
The Clinical Rigor Meets Engineering Power
At Moorfields, Ahmad was working on Eye2Gene, training AI to detect rare pathologies in retinal scans. In that world, if the AI is slightly off, the consequences are clinical. At the same time, Hashir was at Queen Mary University, building the infrastructure that automates complex marking systems for thousands of students.
We said that if we applied that same "zero-error" mindset to business telephony, we could create something revolutionary.
