Patient recall calls that fill empty chairs
Clero calls patients who are overdue a check-up or hygiene visit, books them into the open slots in your diary, and follows up by text message.
17 new appointments booked by one practice in a single week of recall calls
What is a patient recall call?
A patient recall is a reminder to someone who is due, or overdue, a routine visit. Most practices send a letter, an email or a text. A recall call is a phone conversation instead, which lets the patient book while they are on the line.
Clero works through the list for you. It rings patients who have not attended in six months or more, and patients on your waiting list, and offers them the gaps in your diary. Each call can be followed by a text message with the details or the link the patient needs, and after an appointment Clero can follow up about a membership plan or a Google review in the same way.

Lapsed patients are the easiest diary gaps to fill, and the hardest for a busy desk to reach.
How it works
How recall calls work
Four steps, from the phone ringing to the diary being up to date.
- 01
Choose who to call
Pick the patients you want to reach: those overdue a check-up or hygiene visit, a waiting list, or a list you provide.
- 02
Clero makes the calls
Claire rings each patient at the times you allow, says which practice she is calling from and offers a visit.
- 03
Patients book on the call
Open slots come from your diary, and the booking is written into your practice management system.
- 04
You see the result for every patient
Booked, not interested, could not be reached or asked not to be called again. Your records stay tidy.
What Clero handles on recall calls
Voice calls and text messages
Clero phones the patient, then sends an SMS with what they need next: the booking details, a Google review link or a membership sign-up link.
Waiting lists and short-notice gaps
When a slot opens up, Clero can offer it to patients who asked for an earlier appointment.
Memberships and Google reviews
After an appointment, Clero can explain your membership plan and invite happy patients to leave a Google review, passing any concerns to your team privately.

Return on investment on the clinic's subscription cost
We loved the new system in our first clinic and quickly made the decision to roll it out across all our other sites. The migration was seamless, and the system simply works.
